HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a local contract nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Augusta, Georgia.

Unit specifics

• Location: Augusta, GA - 3651 Wheeler Rd, Main Hospital
• Unit: PCU
• Number of Beds: 29
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 ideally, currently running 1:5
• Unit staffing: UC and PCT available
• Equipment: Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn VS machines, bladder scan, vein finder
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Floating policy: All staff float to areas of their competencies
• Patient Experience requirements: Must provide safe, high quality and compassionate care

Schedule

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per week: 36 hours
• Shift: 12 hours, nights
• Scheduling: Staff self-schedule, work with candidates especially if they like their night shifts 3 in a row

Requirements

• Certifications Required: ACLS
• Advanced skills needed: ACLS, familiar with cardiac drip and insulin drips

Unit policies

• VS every 4 hours (may be more frequent based on patient condition)
• Blood glucose checks as ordered
• Required documentation/assessment every shift

Dress code

Royal Blue Scrubs, no artificial/gel nails.
