Local Contract Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit - $45-53 per hour

About the role

We are seeking a talented contract nurse RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Kankakee, Illinois. This role is for a 13-week duration, working 36 hours per week on a 12-hour shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to patients in a progressive care unit setting.
• Assist with daily patient care routines including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with treatments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Experience in progressive care units preferred.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Passing scores on the NCLEX-RN exam.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.

• Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR).
