Requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on a 33-bed med-surg floor with monitoring of all assigned patients.

• Maintain a patient nurse ratio of approximately 6:1.

• Monitor telehealth equipment, including 16 tele monitors, ensuring patient safety and timely interventions.

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policy.

• Document patient progress accurately in Meditech EMR.

• Respond promptly to CCU monitor strips readings and collaborate with supervisors to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Support diverse patient cases including ortho surgeries, bariatric procedures, CHF, COPD, TIA, and cardiac interventions.

• Comply with BLS certification requirements; ACLS preferred but not required.

• Participate in flexible scheduling, including every other weekend or block scheduling as per availability.

• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards at all times.
