Local Contract Nurse RN - Labor and Delivery - $76-77 per hour

About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a local contract nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a local contract nursing job in Thousand Oaks, California.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for laboring patients, including those undergoing cesarean section and vaginal deliveries.
• Care for high-risk antepartum patients, managing conditions such as gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes.
• Handle obstetrical emergencies, including hemorrhage management.
• Assist with newborn care, particularly within the first hour of life.
• Support breastfeeding and initial latching processes.
• Ensure strong customer service standards are met.

Requirements

• Excellent critical thinking skills.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications.
• Two years of experience in fetal monitoring.
• Experience as a C-section circulator and post-CS recovery team member.
• Experience performing vaginal exams.
• Knowledge of care procedures for both vaginal and cesarean deliveries and recoveries.
• Experience with newborn care, including breastfeeding support.
