Local Contract Nurse RN - ED - Emergency Department - $52-56 per hour

About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a local contract nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a local contract nursing job in Kansas City, Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care to patients as needed
• Assess patient conditions and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Operate medical equipment such as alaris pumps, autobipap, EKG, GE cardiac monitors
• Utilize EMR system Meditech
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in weekend shifts (3 weekend shifts per month for days/mids, 4 weekend shifts per month for nights)

Requirements

• Current RN license in Missouri
• BLS certification
• NACLS certification
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in an acute care setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Knowledge of ENPC or PALSTNCC or ATC
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• National Certification in Cardiopulmonary Life Support (NCC) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
