Local Contract Nurse RN - Clinic - $38-40 per hour

About the role

We are seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to operate an on-site nurse station supporting the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) workforce at the Boyers Mine facility. This is a Monday–Friday, day-shift-only clinical role — no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call rotation. The RN will independently manage walk-in minor health care, respond to on-site medical emergencies, and maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records for a federal client site requiring a Secret facility clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, treatment, counseling, and referral for minor illnesses and injuries on a walk-in basis.
• Respond to medical emergencies on-site; administer first aid and stabilizing care until emergency responders arrive.
• Monitor blood pressure and glucose, and assist with prescribed injections as needed.
• Maintain and stock standard medical exam equipment, first-aid supplies, over-the-counter and emergency medications (e.g., Epi-Pens, Narcan, nitroglycerin).
• Create, store, and manage patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA, using both physical (dual-locked) and FedRAMP-approved electronic storage.
• Support lactation rooms and contemplation/quiet rooms as part of facility wellness services.
• Participate in emergency planning activities as required.
• Prepare and submit a monthly utilization report (visits by service type, no PII).
• Maintain all required DCSA security and IT training (Antiterrorism Level I, CIAR, CUI, Insider Threat, OPSEC, and related annual training) to retain unescorted facility access.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Current CPR/BLS certification; First Aid certification preferred.
• Prior experience in occupational health, urgent care, ambulatory, or emergency nursing strongly preferred.
• Must be a U.S. person and able to obtain/maintain a Secret facility clearance (minimum T3-level investigation) prior to start and throughout the contract period.
• Comfortable working independently as the sole on-site clinical provider with remote physician/EMS backup.
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with HIPAA-compliant electronic medical record systems.
