Local Contract Nurse Assistant RN - Float - $55-63 per hour
About the role
The CIA (Clinical Internal Agency) Float Pool RN at Carle Health – Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois, provides direct nursing care across multiple inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs (if applicable).
Responsibilities
- Float to Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU units as needed
- Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans upon admission
- Implement, evaluate, and modify plans of care based on continuous patient assessment
- Provide direct nursing care and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
- Conduct and document assessments, nursing diagnoses, care plans, and patient education
- Precept staff from various units as needed
- Complete Unit Nurse Leader Training as required
- Carefully coordinate care across disciplines to facilitate the highest quality patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in EPIC
- Identify and report safety hazards; take corrective action as needed
- Offer constructive feedback to support peer professional development
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements
Requirements
- Current Trauma I experience (must be listed on facility profile)
- EPIC EMR experience (mandatory)
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience
- Required: ASN Preferred: BSN
- Required Certifications & Licensure: Active Illinois RN License in good standing, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association)
