Local Contract Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse - $34-40 per hour

About the role

The Milwaukee area hospital is in need of a Med Surg Ortho RN for a 13 week travel contract. The ideal candidate will be willing to float to a sister facility if census ever did drop (within a short 15 min drive).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in accordance with medical orders and standards of practice.
• Assess patients’ needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient progress and communicate with other healthcare team members.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development.

Requirements

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• One year of recent relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with Med Surg Ortho preferred.

Qualifications

• Passing score on the NCLEX-RN.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.
