About the role

Medical Solutions is seeking a local contract nurse RN MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit Med Surg for a local contract nursing job in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and Medical Surgical (Med Surg) areas.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients according to medical protocols and standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Adhere to infection control practices and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Experience in MICU and/or Med Surg preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including 12-hour days.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
