About the role

The Large Level I hospital in WA state needs a 1 day and 1 night shift L&D nurse for a 13-week contract.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care to patients in labor and delivery
  • Assist physicians during deliveries
  • Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications as necessary
  • Document patient progress and treatments accurately
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety
  • Participate in rounds and collaborate with other healthcare providers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in WA state
  • Experience in labor and delivery preferred
  • Knowledge of obstetric procedures and protocols
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

  • Passing scores on the NCLEX-RN exam
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Flexibility to work shifts including nights and weekends
