Local contract nursing position in Lakewood, Colorado.
About the role
The PCU nurse, also called a step-down nurse, works in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), also known as cardiac stepdown, medical stepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown, and ER holding. This role operates between the levels of general and ICU care, and increasingly within critical care.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in an intermediate care/step-down unit.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Experience in Intermediate Care or Step-Down units.
Schedule
- Duration: 13 weeks.
- 36 hours per week.
- 12-hour shifts.
