Local Contract ICU Registered Nurse - $42-50 per hour
About the role
Hospital in Wailuku, Hawaii is seeking ICU RNs to assist for 13-26 weeks. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications. Shifts are 12-hour days or nights.
Responsibilities
- Provide critical care to patients in an ICU setting
- Assess and document patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to medical staff
- Prepare patients for procedures and surgeries
- Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately
Requirements
- Current RN license in good standing
- At least 3 years of ICU experience
- American Heart Association ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current CPR certification
Skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Knowledge of ICU protocols and procedures
