About the role

We are seeking a local contract nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Salem, Virginia. This position offers 36 hours per week, with shifts of 12 hours, days.

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical care services to patients requiring intensive monitoring and treatment.
  • Assess and document patient conditions, adjust treatments as necessary, and communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and follow infection control protocols.
  • Document all patient interactions, treatments, and observations accurately and timely.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as an RN in Virginia.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Experience in an ICU setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS).

Qualifications

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Pass a physical examination.
