Local Contract ICU Registered Nurse - $35-42 per hour

About the role

We are seeking a local contract nurse RN for a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) position in Alton, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care services to patients requiring intensive monitoring and treatment.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with other healthcare providers.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
• Passing scores on the NCLEX-RN exam.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Effective problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR).

Pay
