Local Contract Emergency Room Registered Nurse - $38-45 per hour
About the role
A mid-sized Milwaukee hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract position. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to work 48 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, primarily at night.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care to patients presenting with acute medical conditions
- Perform triage and assess patient needs
- Administer medications and treatments as necessary
- Document patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals and patients/families
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current RN license in the state of Wisconsin
- Experience in emergency department setting preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Schedule
This position requires a 12-hour shift, primarily at night, with 48 hours per week. The schedule may occasionally require floating to a sister facility if census drops, which is common but requires awareness.
