About the role
The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist is a highly skilled professional who uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders.
Responsibilities
- Operate computed tomography equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including explaining procedures and positioning patients
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide clinical guidance
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper functioning
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a CT Technologist from a recognized organization
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Proficiency with computed tomography equipment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Pay
Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
Shift: 8 hours, evenings
