Local contract position in Danbury, Connecticut for a Cath Lab Technologist.
About the role
Ideal candidate will be a cross-trained cardiovascular technologist with advanced experience across EP, cardiac catheterization, neurointerventional, and structural heart laboratories. Proficient in supporting high-acuity and complex cardiovascular procedures, including emergent and advanced interventional cases.
Responsibilities
- Scrub electrophysiology procedures, including ablations, device implants, generator changes, lead revisions, and leadless pacing systems (Micra, Aveir preferred).
- Scrub cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic and interventional cases (PCI, atherectomy), and support mechanical circulatory support devices (Impella, IABP, temporary pacing).
- Support neurointerventional and peripheral vascular procedures, including diagnostic angiography and endovascular interventions.
- Assist with radial and femoral vascular access, sheath management, and vascular closure devices.
- Scrub structural heart procedures, including TAVR, MitraClip, PFO/ASD closure, and Watchman (preferred).
- Utilize advanced cardiovascular imaging and technologies, including ICE, IVUS, OCT, 3D mapping systems, and mechanical circulatory support devices.
- Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation as required by department needs.
Requirements
- State of CT Radiographer license in conjunction with ARRT (R) and/or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification through CCI.
- Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Cath Lab / EP Lab experience.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification (preferred).
- Familiarity with Siemens equipment (if a licensed radiologic technologist).
Schedule
- 13-week contract.
- 36 hours per week.
- 12-hour day shifts (06:30 AM – 07:00 PM), with variable start times between 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
