Local Contract Cath Lab Technologist - $52-56 per hour

About the role

Host Healthcare is seeking a local contract Cath Lab Technologist for a local contract job in Norfolk, Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterization procedures under the supervision of a physician.
• Assist physicians during interventional procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including administering medications and positioning them appropriately.
• Operate equipment and monitor patient vitals during procedures.
• Document procedures accurately and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Cath Lab Technologist in Virginia.
• Experience in performing cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
• Current BLS certification.

Skills

• Proficiency with medical equipment used in catheterization labs.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
