Local Contract Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist - $63-74 per hour
About the role
The role of Cath Lab Technologist involves performing and/or assisting with direct patient care, sheath removal, recording and interpreting hemodynamic waveforms and electrocardiographic tracings. The Technologist is responsible for monitoring and stocking inventory, assisting with patient transfer, preparing, maintaining, and operating sophisticated radiologic equipment, and assisting physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional catheterizations.
Responsibilities
- Performs and/or assists with direct patient care
- Performs sheath removal
- Records and interprets hemodynamic waveforms and electrocardiographic tracings
- Maintains and operates sophisticated radiologic equipment including cineangiographic, fluorographic, digital image recording, laser, and electrophysiology equipment
- Monitors and stocks inventory
- Affords assistance with patient transfer
- Affords assistance in the monitoring of quality control program
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Radiologic Studies
- One year experience as a cardiac cath or interventional radiology technologist (preferred)
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Required) or RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Required)
- BLS - Basic Life Support
