Local Class A Driver

About the role

BlueLinx is seeking a CDL A Driver to join our team. This position offers home daily schedules, first shift hours, and flatbed/curtain side trailers with no tarping required. Drivers operate new, safe, and reliable equipment.

What You'll Deliver

• Properly secure loads – NO tarping, ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required

How You'll Deliver

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years
• Safe Driving Record
• Ability to secure loads
• Ability to work in all weather conditions

Pay & Schedule

• $31.25 per hour starting pay rate
• First shift hours
• Home every night and weekend
