Local Class A Driver

About the role

Drive for BlueLinx and enjoy home time every night and weekend, with flatbed and curtain side trailers (no tarping) and new reliable equipment. This is a first-shift position with daily guaranteed pay.

What You'll Deliver

• Properly secure loads – NO tarping, only strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required

How You'll Deliver

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years
• Safe Driving Record
• Ability to secure loads
• Ability to work in all weather conditions

Pay

$228 daily guaranteed pay. The daily rate is $228, but no less than the local minimum wage. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and other job-related considerations.

First shift hours. Home every night and weekend.
