Responsibilities

• Perform pre‑trip inspections of tractors and trailers (approx. 15 minutes of walking, squatting, and bending to perform safety inspections).
• Complete paperwork, signing Bills of Lading, and completing a “Driver’s Vehicle Inspection Report” (approx. 5 minutes).
• Work on the on‑board computer to complete “Driver’s daily driving logs” (approx. 10 minutes during the day).
• Climb in and out of the tractor as needed.
• Hand crank landing gear to hook and unhook trailers.
• Hook and unhook air lines and electrical lines.
• Open and close trailer doors.
• Spot trailers to docks.
• International Paper drivers are not required to load or unload product; all product is loaded and unloaded with the aid of forklifts (no touch freight).
• Follow all posted speed limits.
• Follow all Federal, State, and local DOT regulations.

Requirements

• Class A CDL Tractor‑Trailer driving experience (3 years minimum preferred).
• Current medical certification.
• Excellent driving record.
