Local Class A CDL Delivery Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Make deliveries using the most effective route to ensure orders are delivered on time.
• Load and unload the vehicle, ensuring that all products are properly secured.
• Collect payments and accurately document delivery.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and inform supervisor of any maintenance needed.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)).
• Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and presentable on a daily basis.
• Assist with housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe and secure sales center.
• Increase job and product knowledge on an ongoing basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A valid Class A commercial driver's license.
• A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) indicating no more than 2 combined violations or at fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• Drive a manual 35' tractor trailer or flat bed.
• Ability to frequently lift and move items that weigh up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
• Aptitude to learn ever-evolving computer systems, programs, handheld technology and processes.
• Able to observe surroundings for information and recognize potential problems.
• Maintains composure in a fast-paced environment focused on serving business owners with urgent needs.
• A cooperative, dependable team player.
• Strong customer service attitude.
• Keen awareness of how actions behind-the-scenes can impact customer service.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
• Follows and carries out instructions with minimal supervision.
• Possess or obtain forklift certification.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED, Truck mounted forklift experience, Compressed air brake system experience, Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, Select CDL Drivers should possess or be able to obtain Hazmat certificate.

Pay

DOE + Benefits and up to $3500 in annual bonuses.

Schedule

No Deliveries? No Problem! Sometimes weather doesn't cooperate. No matter if you have deliveries to make or not, you are guaranteed at least 40 hours per week.
