Waste Control, a Waste Connections company, is seeking a CDL Residential Garbage Route Driver to join the team in Longview, Washington. Responsibilities

• Hold a valid Class A or B CDL license with air brake endorsement.
• Read the route tablet and service each customer identified or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle (checking fluids, safety equipment, lights, tire pressure).
• Operate hydraulic hand controls from the cab.
• Work a physically demanding job, including loading and unloading garbage containers using a hydraulic side arm from inside the cab.
• Read, write, and comprehend reports to complete daily assignments.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Willingness to submit to and pass a background check and pre‑employment drug screening.
• Apply working knowledge of D.O.T. laws.
• Provide courteous interaction with customers and perform other miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background check and pre‑employment drug screening.
• Working knowledge of D.O.T. regulations.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend work‑related reports.

Pay

$29.00 per hour.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, starting around 4:30 am to 4:00 pm (about 10 hours per day), with frequent overtime; typical work weeks average 45 hours+ (some listings note 45‑50 hours per week with a 5 am start).
