About the role
Waste Connections is looking for a safety-conscious Local CDL Class B Lead Driver to join our growing team in Centennial, Colorado.
Pay
$26–$30 per hour, depending on experience. Every hour after 40 is paid overtime.
Schedule
50–55 hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste.
- Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
- Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles (fluids, safety equipment, tires).
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading, at times without helpers.
- Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
- Provide courteous interaction with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Extensive physical activity; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts; follow basic safety precautions.
- Outdoor work with frequent wet/humid conditions, fumes, vibration, and moderate noise.
Requirements
- Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
- Basic knowledge of truck components to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
