Local CDL Driver

Location: Nashville, TN 37211

About the role

Handle all local truckload deliveries; primarily drop and hook. Deliver and pick up trailers within a local radius, making multiple routes per shift. Drive an automatic, 53’ dry van truck for full shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform local truckload deliveries with drop-and-hook operations
• Pick up and deliver trailers within the designated local area
• Operate an automatic 53’ dry van truck for full shifts

Requirements

• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within the past 3 years
• Must be at least 23 years of age or older
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT-approved physician
• No record of disqualification to drive
• Successful completion of a DOT road test
• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years (higher scores may be reviewed)
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
• Ability to work in extreme conditions (heat, cold, air particulates)
• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a vehicle cab for entire shifts
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (eye protection, ear protection at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, and color vision

Qualifications

Preferred experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR (Over-the-Road), CDL Class A License, and truck/trailer operations.

Pay

Hourly pay: $25.00–$26.00/hr

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM start time
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–finished

Home daily, weekends off, no touch freight.
