About the role
Silvi Materials, a progressive, integrated manufacturer and supplier of concrete, is seeking Concrete Truck Drivers. As a Concrete Truck Driver, you will maintain the highest standard of quality and safety while ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of concrete. You will help build your community and have the satisfaction of knowing your work contributes directly to its development.
Responsibilities
- Operate an 80,000 lbs ready-mix truck in accordance with all federal and state regulations
- Perform pre and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT guidelines; document and request required repairs as needed
- Load and pour concrete according to procedures involving the use of ladders, main chutes and extension chutes
- Drive in and out of areas with heavy pedestrian and equipment traffic
- Maintain delivery, truck, and driving records in accordance with company policies, as well as federal and state regulations
- Read delivery tickets and communicate with dispatch regarding all deliveries
- Wash residual concrete and materials off and out of all areas of the truck and barrel
Requirements
- Must possess a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL-A or CDL-B) and have a valid DOT Medical Card
- Must pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Able to work a variable schedule; start times are anywhere between 12:00 AM through 9:00 AM
- Requires calling in to the plant at 4/5 PM daily
- 1 year of preferred driving experience
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 40-50 pounds on a regular basis, throughout the day
- Must be able to climb on traditional and truck ladders
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls

- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Use muscles to jump, sprint, or throw objects

- Be physically active for long periods of time
- Determine from which direction a sound came
- See differences between colors, shades, and brightness
