Local CDL A Truck Driver - $29.36/hr

Local, home-daily position in Hanover, MD offering consistent hours and competitive pay with a respected transportation leader.

Pay & Schedule

• $29.36 per hour
• Sunday through Friday
• Dispatch times between 8:00 PM and 1:00 AM
• Shifts typically 8–10 hours
• Average 40–45 hours per week
• Overtime required as business needs dictate

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an automatic transmission Class A tractor on local delivery routes
• Complete 2–3 deliveries per shift to customer locations
• Perform minimal touch freight using an electric pallet jack (EPJ), with occasional down-stacking when required
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete all required DOT paperwork
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation
• Provide professional, courteous customer service while ensuring safe and timely deliveries
• Follow all DOT regulations and safety policies

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Minimum 1 year of Class A driving experience operating similar equipment within the last 5 years
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible overnight schedule and overtime as needed
