About the role
TransForce is seeking a CDL A Driver to support local routes in Lafayette, LA. The schedule is Monday - Friday, with a 6 am start. The pay is $23 per hour. The route type is local, with freight/load type consisting of delivering electrical supplies to customers. The equipment used is a day cab with a flatbed 48' and automatic transmission. Handling involves the driver loading their own trucks with sit-down forklifts, while the customer unloads.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate CDL A on local routes
- Transport electrical supplies in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
- Perform required handling tasks, including loading their own trucks with sit-down forklifts
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
- Meet the physical demands of the role
Requirements
- License: CDL A
- Experience: 2+ Years of CDL A experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
