Local CDL A or B Truck Driver, Delivery ($3,000 Sign-On Bonus)

As a member of our CDL driving team, you will interact with customers daily to manually unload/deliver pre-sold products from our Distribution Center to their account locations in a safe and efficient manner.

Schedule
Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 AM start time, work until route is completed (10-hour average day).
Responsibilities
- Operate a vehicle and deliver assigned orders of wine, spirits, beer, and other beverages to accounts in a safe and responsible manner while complying with federal mandated laws.
- Manage the customer relationship:
- Maintain good relations with retail customers.
- Provide customer service by listening and resolving customer concerns.
- Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
- Collect payment from customers and reconcile the assigned load with receipts and delivery invoice.
- Record sales by completing daily sales and delivery records.
- Return empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise by making appropriate collections from customers.
- Responsible for paperwork because of liquor laws; invoices must be signed when the product is dropped off.
- Ensure the company and yourself remain compliant with all applicable federal mandated laws and requirements for a DOT driver.
- Maintain records by completing DOT driver log.
- Perform duties in a safe manner by following established safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain vehicle:
- Determine condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use; logging inspection; reporting requirements.
- Maintain safe vehicle conditions and protect load by complying with organization policies, procedures, highway rules, and regulations.
- Maintain appearance of delivery truck by daily cleaning of the inside of the truck.
- Request routine truck maintenance by completing written maintenance request form.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.
Requirements
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) and 1-2 years related delivery experience.
- Demonstrate good communication skills with high levels of professionalism. Bilingual is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift cases weighing 45-65 lbs on a regular basis.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently sit, stand, bend, squat, and reach.
- Frequently climb into and out of truck.
- Regularly lift 45-65 lbs.
- Must talk, hear, use hands and fingers to operate a vehicle and tech device.

Pay
$28.30/hr. with high potential for overtime and contracted union pay increases.
Sign-on bonus: $3,000 ($500 at 30 days, $500 at 90 days, and remaining $2,000 at 6 months).
