Local CDL A or B Driver

SRS CDL Drivers ensure safety, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verify inventory, follow safety protocols, and maintain high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, verify inventory accuracy, and ensure secure, damage-free deliveries.
• Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards, collaborate with customers for material placement, and document deliveries with photos per company policy.
• Load and unload materials using forklifts or manually, handling items up to 100 lbs.
• Work in varied weather conditions, noisy environments, and fast-paced schedules.
• Read and interpret job-related documents in English.
• Travel within a 200-mile radius (no overnight stays) and occasionally support yard operations.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• 1-2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.
• Ability to operate forklifts/Moffett’s safely and work in varied conditions.
• Effective communication in English.
• Must be 18+ (21+ for interstate/hazmat roles).
• Pass background checks, drug tests, E-Verify, and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate and FMCSA registration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries and fleet management systems.

• Multilingual abilities.

Certifications

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or CDL B) with Air Brakes Endorsement (required).
• Forklift Certification (preferred).

Working Conditions

• Long hours driving and physical labor, including handling materials up to 100 lbs.
• Fast-paced schedules, varying weather, and noisy environments.
• Travel within a 200-mile radius (no overnight stays).
• Occasional yard support and on-site coordination.
