About the role
TransForce is seeking a CDL A Flatbed Driver to support local operations based in Myerstown, PA. This is a temp-to-hire position.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, some Saturdays
- 1 AM or 1 PM start time
Pay
- $30/hr during orientation
- $24/hr + components after training
- Quarterly Performance/Safety Bonus
- $50 for each and every tarp secured
- $25/hr – Detention
- $25/hr – Breakdown
- $35/night – Per Diem if necessary
Route & Equipment
- Route Type: Local
- Freight / Load Type: Roofing Materials, Flat Metal, Lumber
- Equipment: Automatic trucks
Requirements
- CDL A license
- 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in last 3 years)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Does not require flatbed experience; will train
Responsibilities
- Safely operate class A vehicles on local routes
- Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
- Strapping and tarping
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
