Local CDL-A Flatbed Driver - $29 + Per Hour (DOE) + OT

Local CDL A Flatbed Driver position in Kansas City, Missouri. Direct hire, regional route with automatic transmission.

About the Position

TransForce is seeking a CDL A flatbed driver to support operations based in Kansas City, MO. This position offers home daily opportunities, with routes that may deliver as far as 250 miles out in any direction. Freight includes steel coils and beams, and drivers will secure loads as needed, strap and unstrap at delivery sites, and assist forklift operators.

Equipment: International & Freightliner day cabs (2023 – 2024).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL A flatbed on local routes
• Transport heavy steel equipment in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
• Perform required handling tasks, including securing loads, strapping, tarping, and spotting forklift operators
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
• Meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting, climbing, and other manual tasks

Requirements

• CDL A license
• 4+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Light touch handling experience

Pay

$29+ per hour + overtime after 40 hours.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 5 AM start (no exceptions). Averages 60-65 hours per week.
