Local CDL A Driver - Night Shift - $26.27/hr

About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced CDL A Driver for our client in Ashland, Virginia. This position offers a pay rate of $26.27 per hour and provides a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with home daily routes. Drivers will deliver palletized medical supplies to hospitals throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an automatic tractor-trailer
• Deliver medical supplies to hospitals
• Safely unload palletized freight at delivery locations
• Handle touch freight as required
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and customer safety requirements
• Complete routes while maintaining a high level of customer service

Requirements

• Valid CDL A
• Recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL A driving experience
• Experience with touch freight preferred
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• Must be able to safely handle palletized medical supplies

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Start time: approximately 5:30 PM
• Home daily

Route & Equipment

• Route Type: Local/Regional
• Equipment: Automatic tractor with 48-foot trailer
• Trailer: 48-foot trailer; 28-foot trailer on Wednesdays
• Delivery Locations: Hospitals in Charlotte, Roanoke, Harrison, and surrounding areas
