Lobby Security Officer in Plano, TX

About the role

Marksman Security is hiring immediately for Full Time Lobby Security Officer positions at $18.50 per hour in Plano, Texas. The schedule is 36 hours per week: Monday - 7:00AM to 5:00PM, Tuesday - 6:00AM to 2:00PM, Wednesday - 6:00AM to 2:00PM, Friday - 7:00AM to 5:00PM. The position offers a $50 sign-on bonus for those already licensed with an active guard card.

Responsibilities

• Monitor emails, access control, and alarm systems in real-time.
• Monitor the facility's CCTV to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized people.
• Dispatch field security officers and emergency responders during incidents.
• Manage incoming phone calls and alerts via internal communications system, national weather, and act quickly and decisively.
• Document incidents accurately in security electronic reporting platforms.
• Follow standard operating procedures and escalation protocols.
• Provide support during emergencies (fire, medical, intrusions, natural disasters).
• Utilize internal communications systems, including radio, intercom, telephone, PA systems, and computer-based software with a high level of professionalism.
• Operate facility badging software, including enabling and disabling badges.
• Provide security support for various client projects and events.
• Administer all client policies for controlling access to client property.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age or older.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A non-commissioned security license through the state of Texas.
• Previous dispatch experience required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Monitoring and surveillance experience.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Previous security experience is required.
• Attentive to detail.
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience utilizing security equipment and protocols required.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug).
