About the role
Marksman Security is seeking a dependable, alert, and service-driven Full-Time Lobby Officer to provide front-desk coverage at our corporate campus. This role calls for professionalism, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to keeping people and property safe.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and screen visitors, vendors, and employees at the lobby desk with a professional, welcoming demeanor
- Operate access control systems to issue and verify credentials
- Deter misconduct and respond to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies by contacting police, fire departments, and/or local emergency response teams
- Make periodic patrols of the lobby and surrounding areas to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, and unauthorized persons
- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate incident reports
- Utilize a computer for incident reports, security software applications, and email
- Manage multiple tasks, execute radio and telephone communications, and perform in a high-pressure environment
- Perform other duties as determined by the security supervisor
Qualifications
- Two years of customer service experience
- One year of security experience
- Law enforcement experience
- Corrections experience
- Military experience
Requirements
- Valid FL Security D License
- Valid FL Driver's License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Technology skills: operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email
- Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance
- Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications, and performing in a medium to high pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands
- Familiarity with report writing
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public
- Trained in CPR and First Aid preferred
