About the role
CORTRUST BANK is seeking a full-time Loan Processor in our Sioux Falls community. The Loan Processor supports the goals and mission of CorTrust through an active role in the lending process, assisting lenders and clients with document completion and retention, collaborating with vendors, and resolving problems.
Responsibilities
- Manage loan document completion and retention and accurately process loan payoffs according to Bank procedure.
- Maintain knowledge of the lending process and provide support with credit reporting functions, customer communications, and repayment parameters.
- Process time-sensitive disclosures according to Federal banking regulations and review documents to ensure proper completion and accuracy.
- Work with external vendors to initiate appraisals, valuations, and title transactions and inquiries.
- Process incoming fees and external payments to ensure optimal cash flow throughout the lending process.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with internal and external clients and adhere to phone etiquette policies.
- Respond to general and specialized requests to provide guidance and resolve issues.
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory change and complete relevant training to ensure compliance with lending regulations and Bank policies.
- Respond positively to other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Combination of education and experience to perform the primary duties of this position with little supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong reasoning, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- High level of integrity, personal diplomacy, and respect.
- Knowledge of Federal banking regulations and industry workflow.
- Ability and willingness to abide by all Bank policies, procedures, and Federal banking regulations.
