RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Prepares and checks basic loan papers including applications, supporting papers, commitments, and closing papers.
• Processes loans daily, checking accounting accuracy and adherence to policy and procedures.
• Closes loans and disburses proceeds to borrowers.
• Ensures prompt, courteous service to existing and potential members/borrowers, providing general information on policies and procedures.
• Affords assistance in posting and depositing incoming payments, including necessary accounting reports and disbursement of loan funds.
• Completes routine secretarial duties such as scheduling, typing, filing, organizing, and handling association correspondence; assists in preparation of required branch office reports.
• Affords assistance in ensuring that required collateral insurance, current financing statements, and other required time-critical items (such as association collection policy) are properly maintained.
• Performs other miscellaneous duties related to the overall function of the Association.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• High school education or GED equivalent with at least (2) two years of specialized secretarial training or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to perform most duties under moderate supervision and exercise a reasonable amount of judgment.
