Loan Platforms Product Manager
About the role
S&P Global Market Intelligence’s Loan Platforms suite of products unify workflows and datasets across all syndicated loan market participants. Included in the portfolio are ClearPar for trading and settlement, ADFlow which provides secure, digital administrative details and wire instructions, Messaging to facilitate STP throughout the trade life-cycle, Loan Processor which provides rich integration capabilities, Tax Utility integration to seamlessly navigate tax documentation, and Loan Reconciliation for Agent-Lender agreement of post-trade positions. These applications are used by lenders, agent banks, custodians, trustees, borrowers, legal professionals, and other personas to streamline workflows, reduce risk, and manage their syndicated loan portfolios in a single ecosystem.
Responsibilities and Impact
The Product Manager is responsible for working closely across Product, Commercial, Sales, Technology, and Operations on projects to deliver world-class products to S&P's customers. The ideal candidate will be a proven multi-tasker with strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, is comfortable working with data and has experience in delivering on multiple initiatives in parallel.
- Identify clients' needs that may translate to potential product enhancements; communicate the same internally in a timely manner.
- Establish an in-depth understanding of the products within the Loan Platforms ecosystem.
- Maintain a proactive, energized relationship with the customer to ensure a positive overall experience.
- Ability to communicate with and influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
- Document requirements including customer journey, features, user stories, cross team dependencies, separating core product build vs. integration features, outlining what is in and out of scope.
- Produce high quality product documentation and specifications.
- Conduct walkthroughs and demonstrations, as needed, for different teams within the customer organization to clarify understanding of product features, workflow, or other aspects of the integration engagement.
- Participate in product testing and support cycles as needed.
- Assist other team members with client engagements when appropriate.
- Contribute to solution roadmaps and prioritize short- and long-term deliverables.
- Identify and track key stakeholder relationships relevant to project objectives.
- Continuously expand market knowledge and identify trends.
Qualifications
The following are the basic required qualifications for this role:
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the software development life cycle
- Possesses strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintains exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Works effectively and independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven multitasker; able to drop and pick up engagements as needed while ensuring a seamless experience for the customer
- Articulate technology and product positioning to both a business and technical audience
- Expertise in MS Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint
- Experience with relational databases and querying with MS SQL Server (SQL and Stored Procedures)
- Experience / understanding of XML data models
The following are the preferred qualifications for this role:
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Business or Technology preferred
- 5-6 years relevant product management work experience in the financial markets preferred
- Experience working in a Bank or Asset manager as a product specialist is a plus
- Experience in the syndicated loans space is an advantage
- Experience working at a solution vendor servicing Financial Services clients is a plus
Benefits
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $53,084 to $85,450. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
