Responsibilities
- Aid Loan Officers in loan administration and processing to ensure efficient loan transactions.
- Assist with clerical functions, including conducting preliminary research to determine mortgage eligibility.
- Set signing appointments and provide customer service.
- Prepare files for submission to loan processing.
- Update and mine marketing databases for new loans.
- Perform any other miscellaneous requirements as assigned.
Primary Objectives
- Aid Loan Officers in their roles to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Research and gather necessary information for loan applications.
- Handle administrative tasks such as making copies and setting up new customer files.
- Communicate with borrowers and realtors to ensure smooth loan processes.
- Input data into the loan origination system and update databases.
- Perform clerical duties as needed.
Specific Responsibilities
- Make copies of borrower information and other administrative tasks as directed.
- Assist in pre-qualifications and pre-approval orders.
- Pull credit reports and verify Automated Underwriting System (AUS) results.
- Contact borrowers for additional information.
- Schedule signing appointments.
- Enter data into the loan origination system and update customer files.
- Send thank-you notes to customers and realtors.
- Handle other clerical duties as required.
Requirements
- Administrative assistance, clerical, and customer service experience.
- Familiarity with Conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage products.
- Clear understanding of RESPA laws and guidelines.
- Teamwork and productivity skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and the loan origination system.
- Experience with Encompass Database software or similar systems.
- One to two years of relevant experience.
- Attention to detail and strong sales/customer service skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two to four years of college education preferred.
