Loan Officer - SC

Responsibilities

• Provide members with proper disclosures, collect signatures, forms and proper ID’s for all accounts/services
• Avoidance of adverse actions on loans denied
• Evaluate member’s needs and suggest solutions from our products and services
• Assist members on the benefits of a new loan
• Process loan application in accordance with CU policies and procedures and risk-based guidelines
• Gather required documentation such as proof of income, employment and references for proper underwriting
• Data entry of loan application and all documentation into Loancierge
• Prepare closing documents with disclosures, schedule closing interview with loan processing and disburse funds as specified
• Cross-sell credit related insurance products (GAP, credit insurance, extended warranties)
• Look up NADA book values and assist members in finding new and used cars; use Dealer Select program
• Prepare title transfer and CU lien documents for Auto, RV, Boat and motorcycle purchases or refinances
• Process changes in terms for existing loans such as due date modification and frequency changes
• Work Contact Manager Queue as required and in a timely fashion (24 hours or less)

Requirements

• Experience reading and interpreting credit reports
• Familiarity with computers and banking applications/software
• Solid understanding of lending products and practices
• Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Customer satisfaction orientation and sales competencies
