Loan Officer Assistant

Start Date: To be determined. Hybrid schedule: first 6 months as a contractor requires four days per week on site; after six months, reduces to three days per week based on performance and hybrid requirements. Position is based in Winchester, VA.

Schedule

• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (in respective time zone), Monday through Friday
• No weekends required
• In-person, instructor-led training: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST / 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM EST
• Time off policy: flexible, as long as outside of training

Responsibilities

• Support and communicate with Loan Officers and members throughout the loan application process
• Obtain minimum required documents from members to assist in loan approvability
• Work the loan from pre-application to post-application
• Calculate income and analyze asset statements
• Update loan operating systems
• Manage pipeline via Jetpack to handle case load (averaging 45–60 applications per person, with volume increasing during busier times)
• Use Personal Log/Queue for assignment notifications; follow Loan Officer setup as a guide for completing application requirements
• Daily phone contact with members (50% of the job) for tasks; other tasks conducted virtually

Requirements

• Mortgage, real estate, or financial institution experience is highly preferred
• Minimum 3+ years of applicable experience required if no mortgage/real estate/financial services background
• Proficiency in administrative tasks, banking, mortgage processes, Excel, Microsoft Office, customer service, loan processing, income verification, and credit report analysis

Pay

$23.50 – $23.50/hour.
