Loan Monitoring Manager

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Loan Monitoring Manager to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space. This role will oversee loan monitoring operations with a strong focus on collections, insurance tracking, and servicing accuracy across an active portfolio. You will lead a team, set performance expectations, and help ensure timely resolution of borrower issues while supporting cross-functional partners. The position is well suited for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balances operational detail with team leadership, and helps drive service quality and portfolio oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of loan monitoring associates, including coaching and performance management
• Establish and monitor productivity standards and service-level targets for the team
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex borrower inquiries and disputes
• Oversee daily payment collections and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Manage the extension workflow for the active portfolio, including tracking and reporting
• Ensure data integrity in servicing systems through timely updates and documentation
• Conduct portfolio risk reporting and partner with other departments on cross-functional initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, banking, or asset management
• 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of loan servicing operations, especially in collections and insurance monitoring
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with loan servicing platforms preferred
• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure

Compensation

$115,000 – $130,000 annually
