Loan Documentation Specialist

Location: Northeast of Lawrence, Kansas (main branch)

About the role

This position plays a critical role in the loan process by supporting both commercial and retail lending activities. The Loan Operations Specialist prepares and reviews loan documentation, ensures compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements, perfects collateral, and maintains accurate loan records.

Responsibilities

• Review loan requests for completeness and accuracy
• Board loans to the core system
• Manage document imaging and indexing
• Assist with the routing and retention of loan files
• Support departmental projects
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the loan operations function

Requirements

• Strong understanding of loan documentation and loan operations procedures
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to maintain current knowledge of lending regulations and internal policies
