About the role

To support Wholesale Lending with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution. You will handle a portfolio of Par LSTA loan trades from trade date through settlement, ensuring accurate execution and effective client service throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day Wholesale Lending initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution through lending technical expertise.
  • Monitor the bank’s lending operations to ensure they are conducted in an efficient and effective manner and comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate Wholesale Lending processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for change in Wholesale Lending processes.
  • Develop and implement Wholesale Lending procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Develop reports and presentations on Wholesale Lending performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identify industry trends and developments to implement best practices in Wholesale Lending Services.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives to improve Wholesale Lending efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
  • Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well-developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver work that impacts the whole business function.
  • Set objectives, coach employees, appraise performance, and determine reward outcomes.
  • Consult on complex issues; provide advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Perform work closely related to other areas, requiring understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the organization’s objectives.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work to keep up to speed with business activity and strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple internal and external sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information, including sensitive information or information that is difficult to convey due to content or audience.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Requirements

  • Relevant background in finance, economics, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience supporting or processing LSTA Par or Distressed loan trades.
  • Ability to act as a point of contact for stakeholders outside of the immediate function while building a network of contacts.
