Loan Administration Specialist - Construction Lending

Position Summary

Coastal States Bank is seeking an experienced Construction Loan Administration Specialist. This role supports customers internally and externally, handling complex residential, commercial, and land development loans. Key responsibilities include loan servicing, documentation review, draw requests, budget tracking, and permanent financing phase requirements.

Essential Functions

• Performs construction loan functions such as documentation review, draw requests, tracking insurance, quoting payoffs, system maintenance, and permanent financing phase requirements.
• Acquires and maintains knowledge of the bank's construction management software for managing the construction process.
• Establishes draw schedules and budgets based on loan approvals, documents, and contracts.
• Reviews inspection reports and draw documents for accuracy and compliance with budget, loan approval, and agreement.
• Understands AIA construction documents and identifies issues that contradict documentation.
• Completes partial collateral releases for review and approval.
• Administers participation loans, both purchased and sold.
• Assists with audit preparation, document exception tracking, and exception clearance.
• Acquires and maintains knowledge of applicable banking regulations.
• Ensures procedures are accurately documented in compliance with departmental policies, practices, and regulations.
• Provides training for departmental processes.
• Provides backup and assistance with other loan servicing functions as required.
• Contributes to the bank team effort by working on special projects and reports, performing other job-related duties as directed by the supervisor.
