Loading Dock Worker
Job Summary
The Loading Dock Worker position involves a variety of tasks including reviewing load sheets, rotating product, loading and unloading trailers, and processing inventory. This role operates in a 5:30pm-2:00am shift with Saturday and one rotating day off.
Essential Functions
- Review load sheets and verify correct product and amounts are loaded to assigned trailers
- Rotate product in warehouse to ensure quality product is shipped
- Check for and remove damaged goods to minimize returns
- Load products according to specifications using various motorized equipment
- Accurately identify and select/pick inventory for loading and staging
- Unload trucks/trailers using a hook or pallet jack
- Manually remove product from conveyor system and package/stage efficiently
- Dispose of returned product and move empty and full milk cases
- Wash trailers/trucks after unloading
- Work cooperatively with managers, supervisors, and peers
Education And Experience
- GED or High School Diploma preferred
- Reading and writing proficiency in English
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Multi-tasks effectively
- Works independently with little supervision
Physical Demands
Physical labor involved in this role can include pushing/pulling heavy items like milk cases and metal racks. Repetitive motions and manual removal of product are also part of the job.
Company Policies
Follows company safety policies and procedures. Performs duties with minimal supervision and available for overtime. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Participates in special teams representing the warehouse department. Actively participates in all related duties as assigned.
Compensation
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The pay range for this position is $26.24 - $28.66 USD.
