About the Team
The Yard Operations team conducts hundreds of live auctions each year around the world. The team includes equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators, administrative staff, and customer service representatives who work together to run multi‑million‑dollar auctions.
About the Role
The Loader Operator I is responsible for operating heavy equipment and trucks, setting up equipment for auction in yards, and assisting customers during and after auctions.
Responsibilities
- Operate all types of heavy equipment and trucks.
- Help set up equipment in the yard for auctions.
- Assist customers in loading their equipment purchases and answer yard‑related questions.
- Support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety by taking personal responsibility for safety of self, team, co‑workers, and customers.
- Learn and assist with vehicle check‑in tasks as needed.
- Support and assist with Yard Staff responsibilities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience operating heavy machinery.
- Ability to operate a large 36,000 lb forklift is an asset.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Good computer skills and ability to learn new programs quickly.
- Track record of working safely and helping others work safely.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to relate well with customers and team members.
- Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to self‑start and work independently.
- Organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of attention to detail.
