Loader Hourly

About the role

As a Loader, you will move pallets of merchandise from staging areas and load proper trailers in a warehouse environment that includes freezer (-20°F to 0°F), perishable (28°F to 60°F), and grocery (50°F to 90°F) sections.

Responsibilities

• Load full pallets of merchandise into trailers while avoiding damage.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack.
• Inspect trailers for damage before loading.
• Utilize RF handhelds and/or voice systems to verify loading of pallets.
• Wrap pallets with stretch wrap.
• Operate battery changing hoist.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Complete inspection forms on equipment operated.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certified forklift and pallet jack operator.
• Demonstrates commitment and ability to work safely.
• Reliable with satisfactory attendance.
• Ability to produce quality work and meet productivity expectations.
• Ability to operate required materials handling equipment (MHE).
• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.

• Physical abilities:
  • Continuously: standing, walking, stooping, pivoting, reaching (waist/overhead), handling, hearing, seeing, repetitive movement using both hands and feet.
  • Frequently: lifting up to 60 lbs.
