Loader/Bulk Handler- Austin Industrial (Pasadena, TX)

Responsibilities
- Fulfills specific duties related to loading or unloading chemicals, including following proper procedures, using personal protective equipment, and connecting hoses and valves.
- Verifies tank car numbers and inspects tanks for leaks and damage.
- Loads and unloads liquids into and from tank cars, trucks, or barges.
- Performs maintenance tasks such as cleaning interior of tank cars or tank trucks, inspecting rupture disc, vacuum relief valve, rubber gaskets, and replacing defective parts.
- May test sample for specific gravity and record readings.
- May pump nitrogen or compressed air into cars to test for leaks.
- May clean interior of tank cars or tank trucks, using mechanical spray nozzle.
- May start pumps or turn valves to admit liquids into storage tanks.
- May attach special dome, using wrenches.
- May connect ground cable to carry off static electricity.
- May remove and/or replace dome caps, using wrenches or other appropriate tools.
- May lower gauge rod into tank or read meter to verify specified volume of liquids loaded.
- May lower sample bottle into tank for laboratory testing.
- May seal outlet valves on car.
- May connect hose to outlet plugs on cars.

Qualifications
- No minimum education requirements.
- PTEC degree preferred.
- 6+ months experience in an Industrial setting preferred.
- TWIC Card and Driver License required.
